Regional Meeting
The Regional Meetings provide a great networking and educational opportunity for the members of Beta Alpha Psi. Currently, we have 8 Regional Meetings throughout the US and have an average of 1400 attendees representing over 200 chapters. The Nancy C. Harke Executive Office, Advisory Forum Member contributions, registration fees and other sponsorships help offset the cost of these meetings.
The Regional Meetings focus on:
- Promoting inter-chapter activities
- Encouraging student interest in emerging business issues
- Providing students the opportunity to develop communication skills, both written and oral
- Providing members with the opportunity to exchange ideas concerning chapter operations and activities in both formal and informal settings
- Providing the opportunity for general leadership training for officers and members
- Fostering innovative and unique activities to promote and share best practices
The meetings operate on a 3 – 4 city rotation. The location for the upcoming 2011 Regional Meetings are as follows:

Other Components of the Regional Meetings
The Best Practice Competition is also a major component of the Regional Meetings. Deloitte. provides funding for this competition and awards 1st, 2nd and 3rd place monetary awards in each of the 3 categories. The categories are determined by the Beta Alpha Psi President each year. First place winners go on to compete at the Annual Conference in August.
Team Dynamics makes up another very integral networking part of the Regional Meetings. Team building and leadership exercises are designed and moderated by the Advisory Forum Liaison in each of the 8 regions. Each meeting begins with this activity and sets the tone for the remainder of the event.
