"The Beta chapter is committed to creating the very best people for the job and the community. We have been continuing the legacy of providing accounting students with a channel to connect with professionals and explore the opportunities presented to them in the world of accounting. Our officer team attach the importance to connect like-minded individuals and is dedicated to creating a family environment throughout the Beta chapter. Our meetings and our events help shape the wonderful alumni that we have sent off to so many different career paths.
Our chapter is pushing a heavy focus on connecting our members with the community in this school year. We work with non-profit organizations, firms, local businesses, and other student organizations to host volunteer events for our members on a weekly basis. The Beta chapter has been organizing the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance(VITA) program successfully for 18 years. In the 2018 tax season, we filed 233 tax returns with the help of 41 VITA volunteers. By implementing the foreign student tax preparation to our 2019 VITA program, we continue to expand the influence of VITA on the University of Oregon campus and Eugene community.
The groundwork has been laid for the Beta chapter, and the officer team will continue to elevate Beta Alpha Psi’s impact on and off University of Oregon campus."
NASBA Center for the Public Trust is honored to partner with Beta Alpha Psi as we guide young professionals to become ethical leaders.
