"My story with Beta Alpha Psi Iota Chapter began as a transfer student at the University of Southern California. Coming in, I was very lost as to how I would integrate myself not only into the University of Southern California Trojan family, but also over the Leventhal accounting community. Many already had set friendships and as a transfer student, it can feel intimidating coming into such a big new school. Beta Alpha Psi has solved this problem by providing me with close-knit friendships as well as professional guidance. With all the meetings and social events, I was able to bond with many members and create a network within Beta Alpha Psi. There was no better feeling than walking into my accounting classes and seeing all these familiar faces. Furthermore, Beta Alpha Psi drilled into me the nuances of recruiting – something that I realize not everyone understands when I talk to students outside of Beta Alpha Psi. To summarize, I genuinely appreciate Beta Alpha Psi for providing me with support in my career path, a feeling of kinship among my peers, and a place I can truly call home."
Through Beta Alpha Psi, we are provided an opportunity to engage with a motivated network of future professionals, sharing insights, offering resources, and fostering connections that help prepare them for successful careers in the field. This collaboration not only benefits students but also enriches the accounting profession by cultivating a continuous pipeline of well-prepared and motivated talent.
